Terms

The rules for using Zelkivo, run by Zelkivo. A parent or a school agrees to these when they create an account.

Accounts

A parent or a school creates the account. A child signs in with the username and PIN that adult made.

The adult who adds a child is responsible for that child's account: the name they go by, the username, the PIN, and who is allowed to see their progress.

School admins look after their own staff and students. The last school admin stays until another admin is added, so a school is never left with no one in charge.

Plans and payment

  • Plans are paid monthly in naira through Paystack and renew each month until cancelled.
  • The price and the next payment date are always shown on the Billing page.
  • You can cancel at any time. The plan stays active until the end of the month you have paid for, then stops renewing. Children keep their progress.
  • Changing to a bigger plan takes payment for the new plan straight away. The unused part of the old plan's month is not refunded.
  • Payments are not refunded for a partly used month, except where the law requires it.

Children's code

Programs a child writes run in a separate sandbox, never on the account servers. A lesson is finished when its checks pass.

Fair use

Don't try to break the sandbox, read other people's data, or share an account's sign-in with people outside the family or school. We may pause an account that does.

Closing an account

An adult can change their password and email, or close the account, from Settings. Closing an account does not cancel a paid plan by itself: cancel the plan on the Billing page first.
